Ryan's Background
Rendon Realty Group is Ryan Rendon's brokerage in Fredericksburg. He also hosts the Texas Hill Country Insider podcast.
In Ryan's words: "A typical week for me is a mix of serving clients, showing and marketing properties, negotiating deals, creating real estate videos, and growing the Texas Hill Country Insider podcast and brand."
Before our first session he sent over a list of how he already used AI. It was long. Listing remarks written for search. Due diligence across floodplain, zoning, and school data. Contract summaries. Negotiation drafts. Email campaigns with subject, preheader, and body. Social captions for four platforms. Market analysis. Podcast promotion.
By any normal measure he had adopted AI. He would have scored himself high. And he was still working nights.
The diagnosis
On the Reframe Ladder, his listing and marketing work sat at state 1: Assisted. AI touched almost every step, and a person still had to be present for every single one, because he was the connective tissue. Chat window, copy, paste into the listing system. Copy, paste into social. Copy, paste into email.
Ryan put it plainly: "I still had to manually go into certain systems I use to pull information and data."
Every task was faster. No task had left his calendar. That is the exact definition of state 1, and it is where most people who have spent money on AI are stranded. They can feel it without having a name for it.
What he didn't need
- Prompt training. He was already better at prompting than most consultants. Charging him to teach a skill he had would have been the easy sale and the wrong one.
- A listing generator or a follow-up sequence. Both were sitting in my demo kit, ready to go. His intake showed he already did both, daily, well. Leading with them would have wasted the first ten minutes of a power user's time.
- A new CRM. He runs one already, and his brokerage layers its own AI on top. Ripping that out solves nothing and creates a year of pain.
The reframe, stated on the first call: you are about halfway there, and the remaining half is not skill. It is that you are the manual glue. The win is turning your chat assistant into a system your team runs.
What we built
- One live win on the first call. A working custom assistant, built in his own tool rather than mine, that turned a real 22-acre Hill Country listing into listing remarks, social copy, and a text blast while he watched. His listing, his account.
- Five assistant specs, sent the same day to the person on his team who would run them: listing remarks, social captions, listing emails, YouTube descriptions, buyer follow-up. Two weeks later they were in daily use, and the team had already tuned them without me.
- A Reframe Core on his own machine. Installed live in one session, followed by a whole-team session so the people doing the work could build their own tools. His first project in it was the comparative market analysis he had been assembling by hand for every property.
- Left alone on purpose: contract drafting and due diligence. A realtor's contract carries legal consequence and a licensed professional's name. That review step is the work. Automating it away would not make him faster. It would make him liable.
Where it stands, in Ryan's words
Time back: "I would say around 5-10 hours a week right now."
What surprised him: "How simple it is to set up systems using Claude!"
From Jerome, who handles the team's systems: "Having Mike as a coach helps a lot as well. It helps us steer in the right direction, which is extremely helpful. Not yet quantifiable, hard to put a specific number on it, but it definitely saves more time overall because of the clarity."
His advice to another agent, or any local business owner: "Take a chance. We are in an ever changing world. Take advantage of AI now before you are left in the dust!"
And the best part: the climb from state 1 to state 2 is not finished. It finishes when the team is running the tools without Ryan in the loop, and one of his team is still working through a backlog before he gets there. Anyone claiming a completed transformation from a handful of sessions is selling you something.
The takeaway
A power user with a full AI stack and no spare time is a real, common, and completely fixable condition. The fix is not more AI. It is giving the owner and the team the knowledge and skills to delegate the work to it.
If your week looks like Ryan's did, hit me up, let's talk.
